Checking sound signals to the vehicle's ordinary loudspeakers, headrest mounted systems for rear seat entertainment

Fault-tracing information

Note! Only applies to headrest mounted systems for rear seat entertainment.

Sound from the head restraint installed system for rear seat entertainment (RES) can be played via the ordinary audio unit's A/V input. If sound from the system for rear seat entertainment cannot be played in the vehicle's loudspeakers, the cause of the problem may be any or some of the following:
- Sound is switched off.
- The volume is too low.
- No or defective disc in the DVD player.
- Incorrect media source selected.
- The vehicle's A/V input is being used by other equipment.

Note! In order for sound from the system for rear seat entertainment to be played in the vehicle's loudspeaker system, the system for rear seat entertainment must be on and work faultlessly.

Remedy as necessary.
