Checking the headset panel

Fault-tracing
When no sound or crackling noise is heard from the headset panel, a test sequence with audio can be used to check the headset sockets.
Rectify in the following order:

Note! Lower the volume on the headset panel.

- Connect a pair of normal ear phones (16-32 ohm).
- Click on the VCT2000 symbol to start a test sequence with sound in the headsets. The test sequence lasts about 20 seconds.
- Increase the volume slowly until you hear a pulsating tone (400 Hz).









Was the tone heard in the headphones?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - No sound heard from the headsets.

- Do the headsets work? Are the correct type of headsets being used?
A pair of normal ear phones (16-32 ohm) is recommended.
- Check the cable harness and connectors.
- Check fuses.
- Remedy as necessary.
