Checking Cable to the SIM Card Holder, Phone Module (PHM)

Checking the cable to the SIM card holder

The Phone module (PHM) senses, via a signal, whether the SIM card holder is missing or not. Check this signal by clicking the VCT2000 symbol and start the test to check the SIM card holder's cable for an open circuit. Possible test results are:
- SIM cable OK.
- Install the SIM holder.
- SIM cable not OK, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) stored.
In connection with the test, a read out of DTCs in the Phone module (PHM) occurs, this is to check if DTC PHM-B116C09 is stored. If the DTC is stored, continue with fault tracing the DTC.
If the test indicates "SIM cable OK", the cable, between the Phone module (PHM) and SIM card holder, is fault free. If the test gives the result "Install the SIM card holder", check that the connector to the SIM card holder is properly installed.
Run the test again to check if the corrective actions were successful.
If the result "SIM cable not OK, DTC stored" is obtained, DTC PHM-B116C09 is stored in the Phone module (PHM).
Continue fault-tracing by following the DTC information for the DTC above.
