Checking the supply voltage/ground terminal

Power supply
The keyless vehicle module (KVM) is powered via a power input on the control module.
The control module is 30 supplied from the battery via the rear integrated relay box and fusebox.
- Power input terminal #C3-5 (#B5) is powered via a fuse in the rear integrated relay / fusebox.

Checking the power supply
Check the power supply cable between the rear integrated relay / fusebox and the Keyless vehicle module (KVM). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Ground terminal, keyless vehicle module (KVM)
Keyless vehicle module (KVM) has a ground connection and is grounded in the body. For further information, see the wiring diagram.
- Ground input #C3-4 (#B4) is a power ground and is connected to the ground terminal in the body.

Checking the ground terminal
Check the ground lead between the keyless vehicle module (KVM) and the ground terminal. Check for an open-circuit. Check for loose connections. Check for contact resistance. Check for oxidation. With the ignition on, the drop in voltage between the ground connection for the keyless vehicle module (KVM) and the ground terminal must not be greater than 0.5 V.
Remedy as necessary.
