Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information






Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PBM-U200292

Condition
Park Brake Module (PBM) checks information from switch parking brake.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from switch parking brake is defective.
- Incorrect signal lasts longer than 1 second.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activated function.
- Ignition position 0, I and II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Damaged switch parking brake.
- Contact resistance, oxidation or loose connections.
- Open-circuit on signal cables.

Fault symptom[s]
- Warning lights and chimes/Parking brake indication/no indication
- Text window and warning symbol/Yellow symbol and text message
- Electrical parking brake; No Functionality
- Electrical parking brake; Reduced Functionality
