Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-U042268

Condition
The Central electronic module (CEM) receives information about the vehicle speed from the Brake control module (BCM) and Transmission Control Module (TCM). The Central electronic module (CEM) then sends information to the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS). Supplemental restraint system (SRS) checks the communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Invalid data about the vehicle's speed received from the Central electronic module (CEM).
- Incorrect value runs longer than 2.5 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position II and III.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
