Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information






Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PAM-U042200

Condition
The Parking Assistance Module (PAM) is continuously supplied with necessary information from the Central electronic module (CEM) via controller area network (CAN) communication. The Parking Assistance Module (PAM) checks the quality of the information that comes from the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The transmitting control module indicates a lower quality level of information (the signal) than what the Parking Assistance Module (PAM) accepts.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 10 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
