Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-U04058F
Condition
The Central electronic module (CEM) receives and checks the signals from the steering wheel buttons for cruise control. The information is transmitted via CAN to the Engine control module (ECM). If the Central electronic module (CEM) detects a fault in the steering wheel buttons, this information is transmitted via CAN to the Engine control module (ECM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The Central electronic module (CEM) has detected a fault.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Hint: If Engine control module (ECM) has been recharged or if the battery voltage has been interrupted, the brake pedal must be pressed down twice for approx. two seconds to activate the cruise control function.
Substitute value
- Cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active.
Possible source
- Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not operate
