Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The driver/passenger door module (DDM/PDM) both sends and receives information via a standardized serial communication method - LIN (Local Interconnect Network). The Driver door module (DDM) communicates with the rear doors on the driver's side via LIN communication.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Signal missing.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- The control module blocks the possibility to store several DTCs related to the rear doors.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the communication cable.
- Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
- Contact resistance, oxidation or poor contact in connections.

Fault symptom[s]
- Electrical operated window/No/reduced/incorrect function
