U012900 (Power Steering Control Module - PSCM)

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PSCM-U012900

Condition
The control module is continuously supplied with information about the vehicle's speed from the Brake control module (BCM) via CAN-communication. The control module checks the communication with the Brake control module (BCM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No communication with the Brake control module (BCM).
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 2 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- Battery voltage between 9 - 18 V.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Possible source
- Fault-trace in transmitting control module.
