The diagnostic trouble code indicates that CAN-communication between engine control module (ECM) and Brake control module (BCM) is missing.
Among others, the code may be caused by:
- Engine control module (ECM) or Brake control module (BCM) contains no software for this vehicle.
- Open circuit on CAN-communication between Brake control module (BCM) and Engine control module (ECM).
- Programmed engine control module (ECM) or Brake control module (BCM) has been moved from one vehicle to another.

Hint: Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from the brake control module (BCM).
