Condition




The engine control module (ECM) compares the filtered signal from the pressure sensor in the intake manifold with the signal from the atmospheric pressure sensor in the engine control module (ECM).
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module registers that the deviation is greater than 100 hPa.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed 15 seconds after the ignition is switched.

Substitute value
- If the pressure sensor in the intake manifold is OK, a filtered value from such is used. Otherwise, the value 1000 hPa is set (corresponds to sea level).

Possible source
- Damaged manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP).
- Damaged engine control module (ECM).

- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
