Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-P188912
Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the performance of the oil pressure pump. The control module compares the current strength from the oil pressure pump to the predefined parameters.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The amperage from the oil pressure pump is greater than 9 A.
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 10 minutes.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is disengaged.
Possible source
- Damaged connector between oil pressure pump and Differential electronic module (DEM).
- Voltage supply cable short-circuited to voltage.
- Internal leak in the oil pressure pump.
- Damaged oil pressure pump.
Fault symptom[s]
- 4-wheel/all wheel drive/Does not work
- Text window and warning symbol/Text message
