Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-P096100

Condition
Linear pressure solenoid SLT controls system pressure in the transmission. The solenoid is controlled by power stages at the output of the transmission control module (TCM).
The transmission control module (TCM) uses the power stage to control the current to the solenoid. A low amperage results in a high line pressure. A high amperage (approximately 1 A) gives a low line pressure. The amperage is primarily affected by the throttle position.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The measured current in the solenoid circuit is incorrect.
Solenoid SLT cannot then control the line pressure.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started. Emergency mode in case of malfunction, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD, B5254T5, TF-80SC Emergency Mode In Case of Malfunction

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals.
- Open-circuit in the cable for the control signal or signal ground.
- Linear pressure solenoid SLT is stuck.
- Linear pressure solenoid SLT not working.
