Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the performance of the control valve/the axial solenoid. The control module controls the solenoid by controlling the current via an internal control circuit. The control module checks the solenoid by comparing the current to the predefined parameters.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The amperage to the control valve/the axial solenoid deviates more than 0.2 A from the desired value.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 1 second.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Normal driving.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is disengaged.

Possible source
- Damaged control valve/axial solenoid.
- Connector resistance and oxidation in the connectors.
- Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
