Condition
The control module is continually supplied with necessary information from the Brake control module (BCM) via CAN communication. The control module checks the quality of the information from the Brake control module (BCM).
The control module is continuously supplied with information from the Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN communication. The control module checks the quality of the information from the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
Alternative 1
- Transmitting control module indicates a lower quality level of the information than what Park Brake Module (PBM) accepts.
- Incorrect signal lasts longer than 0.5 seconds.
Alternative 2
- No communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).
- Incorrect signal lasts longer than 0.5 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position 0, I and II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
