Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-P060400
Condition
The Transmission control module (TCM) has three different internal memories, one for the program application (FLASH), one for permanent storage of information (EEPROM) and one for current information (RAM).
With the ignition off, certain information is saved from RAM to EEPROM and then the information is erased from RAM.
The information that is stored includes diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and accompanying data, adaptation values, etc.
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects the following upon start-up:
- An incorrect value after information has been written to the control module's RAM memory and then read again.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 3 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
Hint: Emergency mode in case of malfunction, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD, B5254T5, TF-80SC Emergency Mode In Case of Malfunction
Possible source
- Internal fault in the transmission control module (TCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Automatic transmission/No automatic gearshift
- Automatic transmission/No manual gear shift
- Automatic transmission/Shifts rough or jerky/Unsure when/at all times
- Automatic transmission/Lockup does not work
- Automatic transmission/Shifts occur too early, too late, too often/Unsure when/at all times
- Text window and warning symbol/Yellow symbol and text message
- Warning lights and chimes/Malfunction Indicator Light ("Check engine" light) indication/no indication
- Driving/Poor performance/lacks power
