Condition

Hint:

The control modules transmit and receive information via a standardized serial communication method - CAN (Control Area Network). The brake control module (BCM) transmits a signal on vehicle speed via the CAN network. The transmission control module (TCM) uses the signal to diagnose the transmission input and output speed sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- There is no signal from the brake control module (BCM) or the signal is faulty.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
