Condition




Engine control module (ECM) checks sealing in the fuel tank system by, using the leakage diagnostics unit, pressurizing the tank system and at the same time measuring the relationship between reached pressure and flow from the pump. In a sealed system, the relationship between these shall be linear. Any deviations from the linear relationship are calculated and used to evaluate the tank system's sealing.
If Engine control module (ECM) determines that the deviation corresponds to a leakage bigger than 0.5 mm in diameter, the diagnostic trouble code for minor leakage is stored.

- Leaking tank, filler pipe, tank cap, canister, EVAP valve or lines between these components.
