Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-C1A9672
Condition
The stop lamp switch is located by the brake pedal. The switch is affected by the brake pedal's lever during braking. The Central electronic module (CEM) checks the brake lamp switch (BLS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The brake lamp switch (BLS) is not affected even though enough brake pressure is achieved at least 5 times for at least 2 seconds during the same operating cycle.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Powered central electronic module (CEM)
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
