Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The Suspension module (SUM) receives information about the body's vertical position from three different acceleration sensors.
The acceleration sensors are positioned in the corners of the body, two at the front and one at the rear on the left-hand side.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the acceleration sensor has too low voltage.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) specifies the relevant acceleration sensor.
- SUM-C111C11: Body acceleration sensor, left, front
- SUM-C111D11: Body acceleration sensor, right, front
- SUM-C111E11: Body acceleration sensor, left, rear

Substitute value
- Deactivated Four-C function.

Possible source
- The signal cable from the acceleration sensor has a short-circuit to ground.
- The acceleration sensor has no power supply.
- Damaged acceleration sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- Message in information display
- Four-C function not working
