Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
The Suspension module (SUM) receives information about the body's vertical position from three different acceleration sensors.
The acceleration sensors are positioned in the corners of the body, two at the front and one at the rear on the right side.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the acceleration sensor is missing.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) specifies the relevant acceleration sensor.
- SUM-C111C13: Body acceleration sensor, left, front
- SUM-C111D13: Body acceleration sensor, right, front
- SUM-C111E13: Body acceleration sensor right rear.
Substitute value
- Deactivated Four-C function.
Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors.
- Open-circuit in the acceleration sensor's ground lead.
- Open-circuit in the acceleration sensor's power supply cable.
- Open-circuit in the acceleration sensor's signal cable.
- Damaged acceleration sensor.
Fault symptom[s]
- Message in information display
- Four-C function not working
