Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The pedal pressure sensor is located in the power brake booster. The pedal pressure sensor informs the brake control module (BCM) when the brake pedal is pressed. The control module uses the information to disengage the dynamic stability control function (AYC) and active brake assistance (EBA) if the functions are activated and the driver presses the brake pedal. The sensor is supplied with 12 V.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No signal from the sensor.
- The signal from the sensor is too high.
- The signal from the sensor is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value

Possible source
- Open-circuit in signal cable (+).
- Short-circuit to voltage in the signal cables.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.

- Internal fault in the control module.
