Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-C006C00
Condition
A function test is performed to ensure that the various sub-systems within the brake system are functioning. The test consists of four different parts:
1. The vehicle is driven at a speed above 20 km/h for 1 second.
2. The vehicle decelerates below - 2.0 m/s2 (braking) for at least 1 second.
3. The vehicle accelerates laterally above 1.5 m/s2 (vehicle speed [m/s] x yaw angle [rad/s]) and above 1.5 m/s2; for 1 second.
4. The vehicle decelerates laterally above 1.5 m/s2 (vehicle speed [m/s] x yaw angle [rad/s]) and above -1.5 m/s2; for 1 second.
The sub-tests described above can be carried out in any order. If the ignition is switched off before the test has been completed, all the conditions must be satisfied again the next time the ignition is switched on.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The factory test is not running correctly.
- The factory test is not carried out correctly.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- The dynamic stability control (AYC) function regulates during the test.
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
Fault symptom[s]
