Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The yaw rate sensor, lateral accelerometer and accelerometer are integrated in the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS). The sensors measure the yaw rate, the vehicle's lateral acceleration and forward acceleration. The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) then sends the information to the Brake control module (BCM) via sensor CAN. Each sensor has an offset value, correction value, for the individual sensor offset.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The offset value, when compared to the saved value, is outside its permitted range.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Traction control (TC) blocked.
- Stability control (SC) blocked.
- Active yaw control (AYC) is blocked.

Hint: Brake system, abbreviations Brake System, Abbreviations

Possible source
- Trace the cause of the fault in the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- Anti-spin function/Does not work
- Brake pedal/Excessive "brake pedal effort" required
- Cruise control/Does not engage
- Front monitoring/Active safety/City Safety does not work
- Stability function/Does not work
- Warning lights and chimes/Antispin/antiskid (DSA, TRACS, STC, DSTC) indication/no indication
- Front monitoring/Active safety/Adaptive cruise control does not work
- Front monitoring/Active safety/Collision warning with brake support does not work
