Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-C002071

Condition
The brake system's pump motor is located on the hydraulic module together with the Brake control module (BCM). The hydraulic pump motor builds up pressure that is necessary during ABS braking, stability control and brake assistance. When the pump motor stops, voltage is produced, which must drop to 0 V according to a certain signal appearance.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The voltage does not reduce according to the appearance of the signal.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Speeds above 8 km/h.
- The control module has registered a fault in the previous operating cycle.

Or:
- Speeds above 20 km/h.
- The brake pedal is not depressed.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
