Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PAM-B1B4001
Condition
The Parking Assistance Module (PAM) checks the communication with the parking sensor, external, left front. The control module checks the direct current (DC) voltage in the signal cable.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The direct current (DC) voltage is lower than 8.8 V.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 1 second.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Parking sensor poor contact.
- Short-circuit to ground in the cable.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Short-circuit in connections.
- Open-circuit in the voltage supply cable.
- Damaged parking sensor.
