Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-B1A5515

Condition
The Central electronic module (CEM) checks the collision signal from the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS)
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Signal too high from the output.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- The function switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected.

Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Open circuit on signal cable.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.

Fault symptom[s]
- Starting/Engine does not start/Engine does not turn/No clicking sound at start attempt
- Starting/Engine does not start/Engine does not turn/Clicking sound at start attempt
- Starting/Engine does not start/Engine turns
- Starting/Engine does not start/Unsure when/at all times
- Starting/Engine does not start/Engine does not turn/Unsure when/at all times
