Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The Driver/Passenger door module (DDM/PDM) checks the position sensor of the door mirror on the relevant side of the vehicle.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Voltage on the signal cable is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.
- Moisture and/or oxidation in terminals.
- Open-circuit on the signal cable can cause the DTC to be generated, as the voltage on the output then changes.

The DTC may also be generated for the following reasons, which are first detected/handled by another DTC/other DTCs:
- Short-circuit to ground in the potentiometer power supply.

Fault symptom[s]
- Door mirrors/Electrical adjustment does not work
