Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
The Driver/Passenger door module (DDM/PDM) continuously checks the signal from the button for regulating the power window.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The button has been held in for longer than one minute.
- The signal cable has a short-circuit to ground for longer than 1 minute.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The signal is ignored until a non held in button is detected.
Possible source
- Button has jammed in the pressed in position.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
- Moisture and/or oxidation in terminals.
- Damaged local control for operating window lift.
