Initializing the position of the window
For automatic window operation to work, the Driver door module (DDM)/Passenger door module (PDM) must sense the window's upper and lower end positions and the resistance the window lift experiences when it moves the window. The control module contains a preprogrammed value on the resistor. Therefore it is often sufficient to initiate the window manually by pressing the vehicle control (without releasing) move the window to its upper limit position and then down to the lower limit position in the same way.
In some cases, it may be necessary to perform an automatic initiation. During automatic initiation, the control module updates both resistance and end position.
Warning! During automatic initiation, the window is pushed up to its end position with great force, and this causes a pinching risk.
Initiate the window by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
