Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
For automatic window operation to work, the Driver door module (DDM)/Passenger door module (PDM) must sense the window's end position and the resistance the window lift experiences when it moves the window. If the control module loses information about the end position or deems these values as incorrect, automatic window operation stops working, and a DTC is set. This is remedied by carrying out a so-called initiation.
The control module automatically erases DTCs when initiation is performed.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Window lift has lost initiation.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- The control module blocks automatic window operation.

Possible source
- The window has been moved too far past the previously learned end position.
- The window position settings have been lost by the control module. This is due to a voltage drop when the window lift mechanism was activated.
- The window has been moved by hand to affect the lift's mechanics, for example at a workshop visit.
- Automatic initiation procedure has been interrupted as the window lift button has been pushed.
- The window's movement has been impeded at downward movement.
- Incorrect signal from Hall sensor.
- The resistance that the window lift experiences when the window is moved has changed, for example due to deformed window strips or deformed door.
- Incorrect window configuration distributed by CEM.

Fault symptom[s]
