Condition
Parking Assistance Camera (PAC) communicates with the rear camera. Data communication takes place via LIN-communication. Video transmission uses LVDS-signal.
A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects:
- Defective rear camera.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Possible source
- Open circuit or short-circuiting on cable to rear camera.
- Loose connection or oxidation in connections to rear camera.
- Camera has not been calibrated correctly.
- Rear camera missing.
- Damaged rear camera.
