Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
Driver door module (DDM) supplies voltage to the motor for the electrically foldable rear-view mirror on the driver side. Power supply, folding of door mirror and power supply, motor blocked lock position split cable inside control module. Therefore this fault code is always generated in pairs with corresponding fault code for voltage feed to motor, blocked lock position.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The current strength is too low at the output when retracting or folding out the door mirror
- The current strength on the output is too high when NO locking command is given.

Hint: Sometimes, the DTC may also be generated due to an error that initially must be detected/handled by another DTC/other DTCs.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- Function for folding and power adjustment of door mirrors blocked to prevent unintentional locking of the vehicle.

Possible source
- The voltage feed cable is short-circuited to voltage.
- Open-circuit in the power supply cable.
- Contact resistance, oxidation or poor contact in connections.

The DTC may also be generated for the following reasons, which are first detected/handled by another DTC/other DTCs:
- Power supply, folding of door mirror has short-circuit to ground.
- Power supply, common lock motor has short-circuit to voltage or open-circuit.
- Power supply, folding of door mirror has short-circuit to voltage or open-circuit.
- Power supply, blocked lock position short-circuit to ground.

Fault symptom[s]
- Locking/unlocking/Central locking does not work
- Door mirrors/Electrical adjustment does not work
- Door mirrors/Folding does not work
