Replacing a component

Note! First check that the fuse to the voltage supply relay for the Steering Column Lock Module (SCL) is intact. For locations, see the instruction manual, cover for fuse box, fuse ratings or similar.

The central electronic module (CEM) has registered an internal fault.
If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent problem may be due to interference at start of the component or may be another type of problem that can return at different times. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. If the fault recurs, replace component.
In case of a permanent fault, replace component.
Remedy as necessary.
