Condition
Note! If diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-B00A054 is also stored, fault trace for this trouble code first. After fault-tracing for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-B00A054, the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the SRS system must be erased. Then check to see if the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that indicate the Occupant weight sensor (OWS) are stored again.
The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks internal components in the Occupant weight sensor (OWS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Internal components do not work.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 10 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position II and III.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
