Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-B00731B

Condition
The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the resistance in the circuit to the seat belt tensioner, left, rear.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The resistance is too high.
- Incorrect value runs longer than 2.5 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position II and III.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.





Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Lack of contact in the seat belt pre-tensioner's connector.
- Open-circuit in the cable.
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
- Open-circuit in the rear left seat belt tensioner (the resistance is too high in the igniter section).
