Checking the headlamp washer

Fault-tracing information
The headlamp washer motors are supplied with power via a relay positioned in the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment.
Reasons for the headlamp washers not working can include:
- Burnt out fuse
- Damaged relay
- The washer reservoir level is too low
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Defective washer motor.
- Headlamps off (Only applies to vehicles with Halogen lamps).
- Low voltage in the battery and engine not running (Only applies to vehicles with Bi-Xenon lamps).

Note! The headlamp washer is only activated every 5th time that the stalk for windshield washing/headlamp washing is activated. The counter for this activation is reset after 10 minutes.
