DESCRIPTION: The phonebook or call list transfer may be incomplete or not performed at all during the synchronization phase of the mobile phone.
The BPM (Bluetooth phone module) can handle maximum 750 telephone numbers per paired phone.
Transfer of phonebook and call lists between mobile phone and BPM are handled via AT-commands.
The Nokia S60 platform, N-series and some other Nokia phones does not support automatic phonebook and call list transfer via AT-command. See attached file (Nokia phone list) for concerned phones. More Nokia phones may be concerned.
The phonebook and call lists transfer from Nokia E-series phones (E51/E61/65/66, E71 and (E90) to the BPM may be lost at the next ignition start / synchronize.
The phonebook and call lists transfer from Blackberry phones may only show the phone number. This is due to that the Blackberry phones transfer the phone number twice once as the phone number and once as the name (meaning that it puts the number as the name). This is nothing that can be solved in the BPM as it is a Blackberry phone bug. Blackberry informs that this fix is in the 5.0 software. So the customer must either upgrade to 5.0 or buy a Blackberry device with 5.0. Carriers are currently investigating making 5.0 updates available for certain models. The models expected to receive an update are Tour, Bold, Storm and Curve 8900. Please check the Blackberry homepage for SW upgrade 5.0:

TECHNICAL REPORT: Yes, please report to your local helpdesk if any problem would occur with the phonebook or call list transfer after the BPM has been upgraded with the latest BPM software. Please describe the symptom as detailed as possible and add information of the concerned mobile phone brand type and its firmware/software.
SERVICE: If the above described symptom would occur, please upgrade the BPM with the latest BPM software and test the functionality after performed software upgrade. If problem with the phonebook and call list transfer remains, please check the number of phone numbers in the call lists for received missed or called numbers. Too many numbers in those lists will interfere with the functionality as it takes too long time to transfer all lists. (The automatic transfer of phonebook will not be performed if the call list transfer takes > than 20 seconds.)
These lists needs to be decreased or erased to get the functionality back again. If possible, set limitations for the quantity or time of present call lists.
For Nokia mobile phones with no AT-command support for phonebook transfer, the phone book entries have to be pushed manually from the phone, using the Object Push Profile (OPP).
Push of the total phone book with a single instruction, can usually be accomplished for Nokia phones.
Transfer all contacts from Nokia N-series to the BPM by use of the Object Push Profile (OPP):
1. Pair and connect your phone to the BPM.
2. Open the Main menu in the Nokia N-series phone.
3. Open the Contacts folder / press on the Contacts icon.
4. Select Options => Mark/Unmark => Mark all.
5. Select Options => Send business card.
6. Select "Via Bluetooth". The contacts are now converted.
Note:
Wait until a list with the last used Bluetooth devices occurs! This can take some time if you have many contacts in your phone book.
7. Mark "My Car" and press Select. The contacts will now be transferred to the BPM.
8. The contacts are now hopefully available via the BPM phonebook menu.
