The Volvo integrated Bluetooth Phone Module (BPM) will communicate with most mobile phones, but it may not give full functionality.

When the mobile phone is paired with the Volvo Bluetooth Handsfree System, mobile phones have varied level of implemented functionality and not all functions in the system are available with all phones.

To access the VCNA Bluetooth homepage, copy and paste the following text into your browser:
http://www.volvocars.com/us/sales-services/sales/soundandnavigation/bluetooth/pages/default.aspx

This site will present results from interoperability testing of mobile phones. These tests give an indication of which phones that are compatible with the implemented functions in the Volvo Bluetooth handsfree system.

If your phone is on the list, you can review the results to see how compatible your phone is. Your phone may have a different function than shown in the list, e.g. your phone software version may not be the same as the listed version. Other factors also affect the function of the system, e.g. in some functions the network provider you use may have a different behavior compared to the provider used during the test.

Therefore the results can only be seen as an indication of what the user may expect from the system.

SERVICE:

If the customer's device is not listed on the above website, there is a chance that it may be compatible but it has not yet been tested due to the large amount of new devices being introduced to the market.

To determine if the mobile phone is compatible with the Volvo Bluetooth Handsfree Phone system, please download a BPM upgrade. After confirmation of the latest BPM SW, a compatibility test should be performed.

See compatibility test instructions on the following pages. Specific phone pairing instructions are available on the new VCC Bluetooth homepage at the concerned phone models.
