DESCRIPTION:
As a running change during MY2010 in P1 production, new PAM (Park Assist Module) Hardware (P/N 31275471) was introduced. For this control unit two different software variants are used: one for C30/C70 and the other for S40/V50. On involved cars it may be that one or more of the following DTCs have been set incorrectly: PAM-0018, PAM-0003, PAM-0005, PAM-0007 and PAM-0009. On involved S40N50 it is not possible to clear these DTCs.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
As temporary solution, the C30/C70 PAM Software will be used on S40/V50. This solution is scheduled to be introduced 2010 week 9 in the Gent production plant. With this temporary solution, it will be possible to clear the stored PAM DTCs. The final solution will be new PAM Software, scheduled for the 2nd quarter 2010.
This document will be updated when the final solution is available.
NOTE:
This does not affect the functionality of the Park Assist System on 540N50.
SERVICE:
Do not replace any parts, as this is a software fault. For C30/C70: Clear the DTC(s).
For S40/V50: Perform a PAM Upgrade.
