If using a printed copy of this Technical Journal, first check for the latest online version.
SRS DTC 005B (Passenger SIPS bag resistance high) is most usually caused by a wiring fault under the front passenger seat. Connector 64/31 should be checked carefully for damaged wires or pins. The harness to the connector (also under the seat) should be checked for chaffing.
Damaged wiring/pins should be repaired according to the instructions in VIDA.
