DESCRIPTION:
Customers my report that the navigation system (MMM+) suddenly stops to function. This could make the whole infotainment system shut down and then restart. This is caused by several different SW bugs discovered in the MMM+ SW. Depending on which SW bug that has been activated the symptom may be slightly different, in some cases the MMM+ will just restart, in other cases the whole infotainment system will restart.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
The most severe SW bug was fixed in the SW release 2010w48 (1804/2400). Three more SW bugs has been discovered after that release and the fix for those will be implemented into production during Q4 2011.

REPORTING:
Yes, if the symptom isn't solved with the latest service disc, please report to your local technical help desk

SERVICE:
Check the SW version prior to upgrade. The SW version should be 1830/2400 or below to be able to upgrade the MMM+ unit. Use the latest service disc P/N 31346290, to update the MMM+ SW.

NOTE:
There is a limited number of service discs available. Therefore only one service disc should be ordered per workshop. The service disc should be used on a multiple number of vehicles and should never be given to the customer. The workshop should handle the service disc as a workshop tool. The service disc cost should never be claimed on any vehicle warranty.
