Collision protection unit from behind front seat check

Method content
This method consists of:
- Non-reclining seat
- Reclining seat.
Non-reclining seat
Checking non-reclining seat
Run/push ahead the seat.
Raise the seat maximally at the trailing edge
Remove the screw on the inside at the side panel's leading edge (1).
Pull the side panel straight up at the trailing edge (2).
Fold aside the side panel.
Loosen the seatbelt from the seatbelt fitting by pressing in the catch.
Remove:
- the screw
- the protective cover.
Check the whiplash unit by the rivet on the side of the seat.
If there is no visible space between the rivet and the fitting, then the whiplash unit is functional.
Install in the reverse order.
If there is a visible space between the rivet and the fitting, then the whiplash elements on both sides of the seat shall be replaced according to: Collision protection unit from behind front seat Collision Protection Unit From Behind Front Seat.
Reclining seat
Checking reclining seat
Run/push the seat to its rearmost position.
Run/screw the seat to its forward position.
Fold the seat back completely forward.
Run/screw the seat back backwards so that the seat rises at the trailing edge.
Check the whiplash unit by the rivet in the seat's trailing edge.
If there is no visible space between the rivet and the fitting, then the whiplash unit is functional.
Install in the reverse order.
If there is a visible space between the rivet and the fitting, then the whiplash elements on both sides of the seat shall be replaced according to: Collision protection unit from behind front seat Collision Protection Unit From Behind Front Seat.
