Sun roof function




The main functions of the sun roof are to provide light and ventilation to the vehicle. The sun roof allows extra light into the passenger compartment. Ventilation can be regulated by opening the sun roof.
When the sun roof is in the angled position, rainwater can enter from the glass and the air. Small amounts of water can also find their way in, for example when washing. The drainage channel (1) is there to route rainwater to the cassette gutter. The molding installed around the glass prevents water and dirt from penetrating the vehicle.
The sharks tooth strip under the glass reduces the whistling sound that can occur when the sun roof is in the angled position.
The wind deflector (2) diverts the wind and so reduces the noise that can occur when driving at certain speeds.
The sun screen (3) is there to protect the driver and the passengers from intense sunlight. It also provides insulation against cold.
The apron molding / anti-trapping device (4) gives the sun roof an attractive appearance, at the same time as preventing anyone from becoming trapped when the sun roof is opened or closed.

Sun roof electrical function




The sun roof controls are located in the control unit for the roof lamp. The controls work in two different ways:
- Manual operation: Move the control backwards or forwards to the pressure point. The sun roof moves to the fully open or closed position as long as the control is held in this position.
- Automatic operation:Move the control over the pressure point position to the rear or front limit position and release. The sun roof is then opened fully or closed fully.

Warning! The sun roof anti-trapping device only works during automatic closing, not manual.

To set the sun roof in ventilation position, press the rear edge of the control upwards. To close, pull the rear edge of the control down.
It is possible to move automatically from ventilation position to fully open sun roof.
It is also possible to close the sun roof by holding the lock button on the remote control (with the integrated key) pressed for two seconds. (Does not apply to the USA market.) Press the lock button again to interrupt closing. It is also possible to close the sun roof by pressing the inner lock button "Lock" for two seconds.
