Description of Frozen Values, AEM

Description of frozen values

Explanation
The values described below were stored in the memory of the accessory electronic module (AEM) when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored. Different parameters may be displayed depending on which diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.

Note! In the event of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for communication faults, the values that the accessory electronic module (AEM) receives via the CAN network can display levels or status outside the permitted range.

Engine running
The value indicates the status of the engine. The accessory electronic module (AEM) obtains the value via the control area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM).
Yes = Engine running
No = Engine switched off

Passenger compartment temperature
The value indicates the passenger compartment temperature. The accessory electronic module (AEM) obtains the value via the control area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM).
Measurement range: -60 to +195 °C.

Outside temperature
The value indicates the outside temperature. The accessory electronic module (AEM) obtains the value via the control area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM).
Measurement range: -128 to +127.75 °C.

Battery voltage, central electronic module (CEM)
The value indicates the battery voltage at the central electronic module (CEM). The accessory electronic module (AEM) obtains the value via the control area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM).
Measurement range: 8 - 16 V.
Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0 - 14.5 V.

Mileage
The value indicates the mileage. The accessory electronic module (AEM) obtains the value via the control area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM).
Measurement range: 0 - 1,048,575 km.

Battery voltage, accessory electronic module (AEM)
The value indicates the power supply to the control module.
Measurement range: 8 - 16 V.
Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0 - 14.5 V.

Relay engine block heater
The value indicates the status of control module output terminal #5 for the relay for the engine block heater.
Low = Output not activated. The supply voltage is approximately 0 V and the relay is not activated.
High = Output activated. The supply voltage is approximately battery voltage and the relay is activated. The heater will start if it is connected.

Alarm, output signal P0
The value indicates the status of control module output terminal #15 for the alarm, output signal P0.
Low = Output not activated. Supply voltage approximately 0 V.
High = Output activated. Voltage approximately battery voltage.

Alarm, output signal P1
The value indicates the status of control module output terminal #16 for the alarm, output signal P1.
Low = Output not activated. Voltage approximately 0 V.
High = Output activated. Voltage approximately battery voltage.

Alarm, output signal S0
The value indicates the status of control module output terminal #33 for the alarm, output signal S0.
Low = Output not activated. Voltage approximately 0 V.
High = Output activated. Voltage approximately battery voltage.

Alarm, output signal S1
The value indicates the status of control module output terminal #34 for the alarm, output signal S1.
Low = Output not activated. Voltage approximately 0 V.
High = Output activated. Voltage approximately battery voltage.
