DESCRIPTION:
Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) is now the primary used method for phone book and call lists transfer. The BPM SW for C30, C70, S40, V50 and XC90 from model year 2012 (released 2011 week 20), has a SW bug for phone book transfer using PBAP. This error has been seen for a majority of the phones tested during 2011Q2. Affected phones have the "Phone book" function set to Partial or No. Some of the transferred contacts are not shown in car. The reason is a sorting error of phone book contacts in the BPM. The missing contacts are different for one phone to another. Manual transfer will get all contacts.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
To prevent this symptom, an improved BPM SW was released 2011-09-20 for the aftermarket. The same BPM SW is scheduled to be released for production week 40, 2011.

If the above described symptom is present, please perform a BPM Upgrade.
