Checking handset
In case of lost function of the handset, this may be due to problems in the cable between Phone module (PHM) and handset.
- Ignition off.
Check the following cables for an open circuit:
Take readings between:
- Phone module (PHM) terminal #A19 (#19) and handset connector terminal #1 (#22) (microphone signal).
- Phone module (PHM) terminal #A20 (#20) and handset connector terminal #2 (#23) (loudspeaker signal).
- Phone module (PHM) terminal #A7 (#7) and handset connector terminal #5 (#26) (voltage supply).
- Phone module (PHM) terminal #A8 (#8) and handset connector terminal #4 (#25) (cradle signal).
- Phone module (PHM) terminal #A18 (#18) and handset connector terminal #3 (#24) (ground).
Try replacing the handset.
Remedy as necessary.
