Fault-tracing information
Fault causes which could result in poor antenna reception:
- Incorrect positioning of the antenna cable
- Fault or loose connections in the cable between the handsfree box and the antenna
- The antenna is not properly connected.

- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector for the antenna cable.
Check the connector for the antenna cable. Check for loose connections. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the antenna cable. Check that the cable harness is not trapped.
Take readings between the antenna signal cable and signal ground. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Note! The resistance must not be 0 ohms or infinite. The resistance must be approximately 50 ohms.

Take readings between the signal ground and chassis ground. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
