Checking Start Control Module (SCU)
Checking Start control module (SCU)
Checking the battery
If the key jams in the ignition, it may be due to the battery being discharged.
Check the battery voltage and condition.
Remedy as necessary.

Checking the wiring and connectors
Check the cable from the fuse in question to Start control module (SCU) #B7 for open circuit, contact resistance and oxidation. The voltage must be approximately battery voltage.
Check the cable from Start control module (SCU) #B8 to Central electronic module (CEM) #B13 (#13) for open circuit, contact resistance and oxidation. If the voltage is 0 V, it should be possible to remove the key.
Remedy as necessary.

Checking Start control module (SCU)
To be able to remove the key, it may be necessary to directly supply the Start control module (SCU) with voltage.
Disconnect the 8-pin connector from Start control module (SCU) and supply with voltage +12 V on #B7 and ground on #B8.
If the key still does not come loose and the fuse, for the voltage supply to the ignition switch, blows the ignition switch should be replaced.
If the key becomes loose, fault trace the Central electronic module (CEM) and check the new cable from the Start Control Unit (SCU) #B8 to the Central electronic module (CEM) #B13 (#13) with regard to open circuit, connector resistance and oxidation.
Remedy as necessary.
